From the moment Aaron had the FF where he saw his daughter alive in the middle east I believed she was alive. So of course you quickly come to the conclusion that some sort of tampering had to have happened to "her" remains.

Someone or some group, for whatever reason, tampered with the DNA test results. So when she was dug up and the remains tested again only to find that it was indeed his daughter....doesnt prove anything. I still think there is a another reason as to why the DNA results came up as his daughter...

There is also the slight chance he just lied to his ex-wife. So maybe he could go search for her without many questions asked.

I don't think he lied to his ex. The breakdown seemed pretty real to me.

I was surprised at the DNA results. Something is going on there...

I think the DNA results did came back positive.

If i remember correctly identifying his daughter was difficult cause it's not a body that came back, but more like 30pounds of mashed humans (sorry for the gorry expression)

so, if she stepped on a landmine, had her leg blast to pieces and then been rescued/captured by talibans or who knows who. Only thing the army would have found was those 30 pounds of human flesh purée...

which would explain the positive DNA match, and the FF.

(tell me if my mind is playing tricks to me again though tongue.gif )

I think i have a plausable answer for this - I think Aaron may of had an affair or a one night stand years ago and its possible that unknown to him he Fathered another child. I think out of some mad coincidence ( like Jack and Claire in LOST ) these two sisters where drawn together and obviously its possible they never knew each other but if the other daughter had been killed the DNA would still show as his daughter. So the second DNA test would still show he was her Father...

I totally agree with you. every time we see his flash forward his daughter has cuts on her face, which is also the only part of her you see. the rest of her is under a blanket so who knows if she is or isn't missing any limbs. the cuts also kind of prove this theory that there was some sort of explosion

I think the most obvious answer is that the test results did come back positive, but the DNA used for comparison to the remains was the same DNA used the first time - and somebody tampered with that.

I'm guessing somebody will figure that out and test the remains again using DNA obtained from somewhere else.

They only showed her face in the FF, and the rest of her body was underneath a blanket.

Her remains were only 30 or so pounds.

She could have been in an accident where her legs were cut off, then they could have sent her legs back as her remains. So the DNA test would come back positive even though she's still alive.

I thought of that. It does seem very conspicuous how her lower body is covered in the FF, and also she's lying on the ground, so she probably has other injuries under her blanket. If it was only cuts, she probably wouldn't be volunatrily lying on the ground.
