Surprised there hasn't been a thread yet about how we all felt about the episode...

Well, I enjoyed it overall! The acting is a little over-dramatic sometimes (Stan finding out about Mark's impairment during his FF) like it was in last week's episode (Demetri and Mark's faceoff), but otherwise the story progressed nicely. I was hoping for a Barack impersonator to play the president but o'well, lol.

My only gripe with the episode was the cheesy ending. I would have been much better if some of our heroes got hurt, not killed obviously, and there was an intense shoot-out as opposed to "hey, happy music playing, we're gonna win!" theme.

Still, looking forward (pun intended) to next week!

Ummm, one of our heroes DID get hurt or did you forget Janis lying in a pool of her own blood?

I'm a bisexual IRL. I would be a bit irritated if they turn this into "she had a life-changing experience, she thinks more about the future and now she's gonna be straight." I hope to hell that's not what they're gonna do.

Whoever happens upon the scene and saves her life with first aid and calling the ambulance is going to end up being the father. She'll view it as fate intervening especially given the feelings she'll have for him. That will dodge the unnecessarily messy 'turned straight because she's preggers in her flashforward' issue.

That said.. this episode rather owned. I quite liked them deep probing the Mosaic folks and probing the questions they hadn't been asking. I especially liked the gunfight at the end allthough they could have had the decency to use Dylan's version of the song rather than some Nobody doing a cover. Probably some wanna-be Disney Kid that they needed to crosspromote.

Also, there was a second of foreshadowing at the start of the first presidential press conference. The president takes the podium and there is a behind the back of a camera shot where the lens pans across the presidents face and there is clearly a centering cross hair over the president sniper style. It was at approximately 8:45 in. Foreshadowing of a future assassination? It was pretty blatant.

I read somewhere that the version they used was by the Rolling Stones. I'm with you, they should have used Bob Dylan's version - I love that song. smile.gif

Didn't like this episode at all. It was way different from all the others, and just too political for me. There was hardly anything in it that was important for me, and Lloyd and Simon weren't even in it! I just think that this particular episode sort of broke off from all the others, went in a weird direction, and then came back. Sorry, I was kind of annoyed when it was over. Glad the show is back on track now. Hope it'll stay that way!
