The president, Bad news Options

What I didn't undertood about the change of president from this guy to Clemence was the next:

The actual president had a flashforward where someone probably a secret service agent was telling him and his wife that "something was happening" meanwhile in the Clemence flash forward... she was already the new president...

How that happens? I am clueless about US policy or whatever but... isnt' the president has to die or resign or something like a coup to that actually happen?

And if that will be the case, why is Clemence already proclaiming as the new president? why? the actual is not dead, nor anything that i just say...

Aren't the flash fowards allegedly to be at the same time? even when they are in other countries is the same moment... 22:00 pm in US, 06:00 am in London, all at the same time!!!

i agree. i read somewhere (still looking for the source) that TPTB have noted that when we see a flashforward it's what they actually saw. clemente just told us what she saw, i think she's full of shiz.

I agree -- that is very suspicious. Whenever someone lies about their FF, the real one is still shown. So either they decided not to show anything, or she saw nothing and she's so terrified out of her wits that she's lying.

I think "Mr President", even if he is an ex-president. That explains the actual president's FF.
I also think that the president actually ordered the elimination of the Mosaic team. In that case, Mark's boss can use the photo to convince Cleemte to grant them the money so they could continue the investigation. That could explain how Clemente will become the future president in 6 months.

I agree ghiocel. People still call ex-presidents "Mr President" out of respect.

He could be already an ex-president by April 10th - the photo could force him out. If Clemente gets hold if it...he's gone.

But I do agree that if we don't see there FF then we can not just trust what they say. Stanford said he was in a meeting but they showed his actual FF on the pan! Although that could have just been for abit of humor.

I don't know about that. Remember we caught President Clinton perjuring himself about having sexual relations with someone, and he was allowed to finish his term.
